How to install windows 8 in VM Ware

Windows 8 will be releasing on 26th October so if you want to try it out before actually using as a boot os then you can use it in VM ware.VMware is a software somewhat similar to oracle virtual box provides a virtual environment for the OS to run on the already installed OS.One good thing about VM ware is that it supports copy paste directly from original to virtual environment and vice versa using vm tools which is not possible in Oracle virtual box.So without wasting much time let’s start the installation of windows 8 in VM ware.



Here is the step by step Procedure to install windows 8 in VM Ware..


1. First of all download windows 8 evaluation copy or any windows 8 copy ISO image from Microsoft’s website.

2. Download VM ware workstation and VM tools-the latest version here-VM Ware


3. Install the VM ware and VM tools on your system.


4. Open VM ware and click on create new virtual machine.


5. Select the installer disc image file and locate the windows 8 is the image address in your system which was downloaded in step 1.



6. Click next and enter product key for windows 8 (not mandatory and can be entered later)



7. Select next and give the size of hard disk space used by the virtual machine (size space must be available in your system hard disk) and select split into multiple files.



8. Click next and click on customized hardware to change the ram and space settings (ram must be provided 2gb at least).



9. Select finish and windows 8 installation will start and then just follow the screen commands and windows 8 will be installed in your system in VM ware as virtual machine.

So that’s how you can install windows 8 on VM ware and then test it before using as a single or dual boot OS.
